What We Offer
Intro to Pilates Reformer 4-week course This new 4-week course is designed to give complete beginners a chance to learn the basics of Pilates while also getting the incredible toning and strengthening benefit that can only be achieved on the Reformer (see Group reformer drop-in classes section below). The course will build up right from the beginning, learning safety and proper technique and each week new Reformer exercises will be added. At the end of the 4-weeks participants will be able to join our drop-in matwork or reformer classes. Cost is £60 for the course - only 4 places per course so book now to avoid disappointment! Group reformer drop-in classes These classes take place using the Allegro Reformer and will have a maximum of 4 people. These provide a comprehensive full body workout that burns calories and allows you to sculpt your physique in ways that traditional exercise simply can not match. You will be lead through a series of strengthening exercises using resistance from springs and pulleys. Regular attendance will help you to look taller, improve your posture, increase your endurance and flexibility, strengthen and tone all muscle groups and results in a leaner, more toned and balanced body. Pre-requisites: All clients must have completed the Introduction to Pilates classes at the studio in order to gain a better understanding of the basic principles of Pilates before joining a reformer class. If you have Pilates experience elsewhere it will be necessary to have an assessment before joining the class, especially if you have any injuries. Once familiar with the Reformer if you wish to increase the pace, burn more fat and calories than try one of our new Cardio Pilates on the Reformer classes... (for more information click here...). What is the Reformer? Have a look at some basic footwork exercises performed by Jen:
We offer 4 different Introduction to Pilates classes as well as general matwork classes for beginners through to intermediate levels. All ages and levels of fitness are welcome. From January we will be offering a selection of 8-10 week courses (which progress weekly) as well as good quality drop-in classes (which offer more flexibility - you pay for 5 or 10 sessions to be used within 12 or 20 weeks respectively).
Our general pilates classes are not suitable for pregnant women but we do run special antenatal classes for pregnant women in the second and third trimesters. We were the first studio in the area to offer these classes and they have proved to be extremely successful, with women returning for their 2nd pregnancies. These classes have fewer people then a general class and allow for closer attention to be paid to each client. Exercises are carefully adapted for the pregnant woman and the majority of the class is conducted on or using large (swiss) balls... (for more information click here...) Private sessions with an instructor. Especially recommended if you are recovering from an injury, have recently had a baby or have a specific area or weakness that you wish to work on. You will have use of the Reformer, half-trapeze table and Wunda Chair, which help to build strength and flexibility in a way that is difficult to achieve in a mat-based session. Or, if you prefer, you can have your session outside in Greenwich Park... (For more information click here...) To check availability and book please have a look at our schedule.
Pilates Studio equipment sessions Pilates studio equipment is incredibly beneficial for building strength, increasing flexibility and improving joint mobility. Our studio sessions offer a chance for you to come in and use the equipment in the studio under close supervision. You will receive more attention than in a group class and be given your own personalised program. There will be a maximum of 4 people per instructor. If you are new to Pilates or have not been to the studio before than you will be required to either do a couple of private sessions before starting or complete 4 Introduction to Pilates classes. To achieve a good balance in your Pilates programme we recommend doing 1 studio or one-to-one session and 1 group matwork class per week.

Personalised program to practice at home Need the personal attention of one-to-one Pilates sessions but do not have the budget or time to match? This could be the solution for you. We understand that weekly one-to-one sessions may be unattainable for many people, especially in the current economic climate. However, in order to get the maximum benefit from your Pilates sessions, it is necessary to practice regularly - at least once per week. Therefore if you do require one-to-one sessions but cannot commit to regular weekly sessions than you may benefit from our program design service in which we will design a program for you to do at home... (For more information click here...)
These one-to-one training sessions will take place in the summer and autumn and combine a short Pilates mat work session in the studio with quick walking (with poles if you wish) and strength and resistance training in Greenwich Park. A perfect way to improve your general fitness and cardio levels while practicing Pilates! Click here for more information. This link will open in a new window.
