Pilates picker chart

We've created the chart below to help you to work out which of our options would be most suitable for you.

Please answer the questions below starting with question 1...

1. Do you wish to exercise alone?

(go to next question)

Group classes are not suitable. You require one-to-one sessions. Please go to the personalised programme page.

2. Are you doing Pilates for remedial purposes? Do you have any injuries, severe back pain or other pain, slipped disc or other serious medical conditions? Have you been referred by a physiotherapist or other medical professional?

General group matwork classes are not suitable. You would require group studio or 1 to 1 sessions. Please go to the personalised programme page. If you do wish to exercise with others than our Introduction to Pilates course may be suitable for you. For more information see our Introductory classes page.

3. Do you wish to use the Pilates apparatus (ie. reformer and wunda chair)

Group matwork classes are not suitable. Please go to thepersonalised programme page.

4. Would you like to have a programme designed specifically for you?

Group matwork classes are not suitable. Please go to the personalised programme page.

5. Can you commit to weekly classes at a regular time or at least to 5 classes over a 10 week period?

Group matwork classes are not suitable. You need something more flexible. Please go to the personalised programme page.

Group matwork classes would be the most suitable option for you. We offer a number of different types of classes. Please see below to work out which would be best for you...

6. Are you pregnant?

You would need antenatal classes. Please click here for information.

7. Do you want to increase your general fitness levels or lose weight while exercising outdoors?

Throughout the summer and autumn we offer classes in Greenwich Park which combine a short Pilates class with some fast walking and toning exercises. These classes can help to improve general fitness levels and may help to burn calories more than a general Pilates class. Please see our Pilates and the Park website (this will open in a new window).

8. Have you taken any classes at the Little Pilates Studio before?

You would need to begin with a 4-week Introduction to Pilates course. Please click here for information about our classes or see the schedule for details of days and times.

9. Can you attend class regularly on a weekly basis

You require the flexibility that we offer on our semi drop-in classes for beginners and improvers on Monday evenings. These consist of 5 classes, paid for in advance. You then have a 10 week period in which to use the classes. Please click here for information or see the schedule for times.

10. Do you wish to exercise with swiss balls?

Any of our classes would be suitable for you (except for our Tuesday evening ball class). Please click here for general information about our classes or see the schedule for details of days and times.

We offer ball classes in which about 50% of the exercises are done using swiss balls - these have less people than a general matwork class. Please see the schedule for class days and times
